Found an excellent tutorial / presentation about how to design a web layout. Setelah muter2 nyari artikel yang ngejelasin ttg “where to start when designing web pages”, gw menemukan satu presentation yang top banget. Judulnya: “grids are good”. Penyusunnya namanya Khoi Vinh. Dia design director utk NYTimes online.
Presentation ini ngajarin kita gimana menyusun elemen2 dalam web page, how to make them better structured, look proportional and usable. Dibeberkan secara scientific, bukan cuma trial and error. Something I am definitely needing, having no talent in art n design, lol.
Dalam presentasi ini, Khoi me-makeover homepage Yahoo. Hasilnya..? keren. nuff said.

lagi dengerin ebook “power talking” nih. Jadi nyadar sesuatu.
gw ngerasa i have an excellent _written_ communication skill, karena gw bisa mikir dulu lama2, mengatur kata2, modif2 sampe oke, baru deliver. tp gw ngerasa i suck at spoken communication because i tend to think ‘er, i have to say something quick, cannot make them wait, or they will think that i am slow-witted’.
akhirnya yang keluar?

and i keep hitting myself with it, crushing my confidence, leading me to believe that i have a communication problem. well in a way i did, but not anymore. grin 
gw akan banyak menulis, melatih. read that again, *MELATIH* otak gw utk makin jago n pintar dalam story telling dan menyusun concept utk dikomunikasikan secara logis dan mengena.
my vocab is well built, my grammar is infallible, it’s the storytelling goddammit!
di sisi lain, is there something wrong with the way i approach people? do i tend to freak people out? lol
oh, the tasking system needs another amendment. gonna add an attachment feature. Currently waiting on their confirmation.

wanna learn symfony too. gotta compare between cake, codeigniter and symfony. PHP is still the best, lol.
